and our own local bee whisperer, Jen, are putting on workshops on our Island.  What a TREAT!  If you want to experience the bees, have any inclination to get some bees in an easy to manage top bar hive, or any box you can afford these folks can humbly and lovingly guide you.

Designing For Sustainability and Food Security
February 9th - 24th, 2013
A unique, exciting, and comprehensive permaculture design course! * Two-week intensive Permaculture Design Course (PDC) format includes complete permaculture core curriculum. * Live and learn in a land-based intentional community. * Acquire skills to achieve food security and create sustainable home systems. * Design for your property or community during the course, with professional support. * Learn underlying whole systems ecological design processes and techniques, tools and methodologies. Winter Internship 
Feb. 28th - March 28
Participants will enjoy 16 workshops, half focused on permaculture and the other half on communication/interpersonal skills.
