Description: Take a fun and informative tour of our land, including our organic gardens, alternative building methods, off grid solar system, animals and orchards. We are a committed group of people working together closely in community, on our 24 acres organic permaculture farm. We integrate the social aspects of sustainability into daily life: how to live together with honesty, love and peace, and share power and leadership.  We do not have one central leader, but instead share the cost of the land and the leadership equally.  This is a great time to tour the land and ask questions about community.

Let us know if you are coming.  Thanks!

Winter Return of the Light
Tantra Puja

Where: La'akea Community
When: Saturday, Dec. 13th : 7 - 9:30pm
Cost: $10 - $25
More Info:  Amara Karuna <amara@mindspring.com>

You are invited to join us in celebrating the Light inside ourselves and each other, and especially tuning in to the Winter Solstice. Within a rich soundscape of lovely music, we will create a safe space for deep connection, respectful sensuality, creative movement, play and loving touch.

We focus on deep heart attunement, emotional safety and respect, with emphasis on presence and intimacy.

You will connect with friends of both genders in a series of guided rituals that encourage you to be fully present as you share eye contact, breathing, singing, toning, light massage, meaningful conversation, etc.
We will not focus on a gender bias this time, so we will not need to gender balance. People of all sexual preferences are welcome.

Please come dressed up in your finest attire to help you step into your own inner regal Divine self, as a God or Goddess, or both!  We appreciate you arriving a little early, bathed and sober. Also bring pillows or fold out pads, or back chairs. If you have rugs or large heavy blankets, that would be helpful because it is a wood floor.

Dances of Universal Peace (Sufi dances)
Friday Dec. 19th,
 7-9 pm   Laakea community.

Dances of Universal Peace (Sufi dances) are easily learned spiritual folk dances from all traditions, with gentle movements that even "non-dancers" can greatly enjoy.  Singing sacred, ancient phrases creates a full body healing vibration, and when conscious movement is added, these become powerful spiritual practices.  Each dance will be fully taught, no experience is necessary.  These are interactive and participatory, not a performance.

donation $3 to $10 appreciated    call Amara at 808-982-6755  for more info.
