About us: We are a group of people committed to working together closely in community on our 24 acres of land. We apply and experiment with sustainable systems, including off-grid technologies like solar power, water catchment and composting in addition to food forests and animal systems. We integrate the social aspects of sustainability into daily life: how to live together with honesty, love and peace. We do not have one central leader, but instead share equally in the expenses of the community and the responsibilities of leadership.

Authentic Relating Games!

With Shine & Patrick
Hosted by La'akea Community

Saturday February 29th 5:00-8:30

LOCATION: La'akea Community Meadow Space
TIME: 5-8:30
THEME: Opening to opportunities

Come play. An evening of Authentic Relating Games. Each game tends to be fairly short (say 5-20 min) and most have a playful/light hearted component. Each game is different—but what the games tend to have in common is an option to be more authentic and maybe vulnerable. And what tends to happen is there’s a yummy field that’s created in an evening, where we all feel comfortable and supported leaning into that edge. So maybe I share something that feels a bit vulnerable and in turn, you feel inclined to lean into that edge yourself. And what we discover is: these fears and judgements that we closely guard are actually the same ones that we all have, and we’re all much more alike than we think! An evening like this is a sweet way to foster community. Last but not least these games are fun and heartmind opening! 😁Doors close at 5:30. Please arrive before then.
The evening will be co-facilitated by Shine and Patrick. Both have completed an intensive Authentic Leadership Training and are experienced facilitators.
$10 to $20 suggested donation.
No one turned away for lack of funds.
Light snacks will be provided!

at La'akea community... From Pahoa, go one mile past Leilani on Hwy 130, and turn right on Alaili, then go right at the driveway at the Laakea sign. Park in parking area, walk up to next path off driveway and turn right. Follow signs to Meadow Space. We will be in a covered, open air space. Dances of Universal Peace
Join us for deep sweetness, heart healing, oneness….
Dances of Universal Peace are easily learned, with gentle movements that even "non-dancers" can greatly enjoy.  Singing sacred, ancient phrases creates a full body healing vibration, and when conscious movement is added, these become powerful spiritual practices.  Each dance will be fully taught, no experience is necessary.

March 28th, Friday at 7-8:30 pm

bring a flashlight!
