About La'akea:
We are are a small, family style, egalitarian, intentional permaculture community on the big island of Hawai'i. Come join us for a deep dive training in our vibrant community lifestyle! We have successfully lived together for 20 years.
We are a committed group of people working together closely as a means to health, relationship vitality, economic stability, personal and spiritual growth.
We integrate the social aspects of sustainability into daily life: how to live together with honesty, love and peace, and share power and leadership. We do not have one central leader, but instead share the cost of the land and the leadership equally.
Please forward to all interested friends!
Dances of Universal Peace
Nov 16th Saturday
with Amara Karuna and others
3- 5 pm Laakea Community in the meadow space,
Dances of Universal Peace (Sufi dances) are easily learned spiritual folk dances from all traditions, with gentle movements that even "non-dancers" can greatly enjoy. Singing sacred, ancient phrases creates a full body healing vibration, and when conscious movement is added, these become powerful spiritual practices. Each dance will be fully taught, no experience is necessary. These are interactive and participatory, not a performance.
Please wash your hands before, and do not attend if you feel ill or have been around someone ill, thanks!
call Amara at 808-982-6755 for more info.
at La'akea community… 13-3844 Alaili road, go one mile past Leilani on Hwy 130, and turn right on Alaili, then go right at the driveway, at the Laakea sign. Park in the first parking lot you come to and walk up a little way to the the Meadow Space sign, and turn right up that driveway. If you are not able to walk you could drive farther up that driveway and park. But the walk is not very long from the parking area.
Come Home to Yourself
This is a zoom workshop Tracy is co-facilitating with her friend Stewart Blackburn. The offering is about Coming Home to Yourself. Stewart and Tracy co-create a loving container with guidance and activities to assist in exploring our core beliefs. Our objective is to get to the kernel of wholeness beneath the shame, expectations and other fears we may not even be aware of on the surface. A previous participant, shares “This class taught me to feel better by managing my thoughts and reevaluating old beliefs that no longer serve. I am no longer afraid of emotional intensity.”
